Warmth, wit and charm.
Just three words to describe what goes into the street shots of the teacher from Tucson. Operating from his favourite base hotel, armed with his stealthy friend, this guy takes to the streets of San Fransisco, as often as he can. Allied with his alertness, he has a knack of capturing decisive moments.
Gotta say, his shots are a joy to see. A warmth exudes. He sees things with a very human eye. Not only that, his wit is evident. His dry humour comes through the scenes, the frame. Moreover, his shots have charm in abundance. The moments captured are testament to his storytelling nature.
This is a very pleasurable collection of photographs to spend time looking at.

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1954. I moved to Tucson, Arizona when I was 21. After attending the University of Arizona I became a teacher. I taught first grade for 6 years and have taught 5th grade for 30 years. I love being a teacher. I look forward to being with my students every day. I try to make school interesting and fun. I make jokes in class and sometimes show my students magic tricks.
I became a street photographer about 6 years ago after reading about Vivian Maier. I truly enjoy the challenge that street photography brings. One never knows what one will encounter on the street. My focus in street photography is capturing interactions between people that will create a compelling story in the frame.
