 The Surreals by Ludovit Graus

The Surreals series reflects my personal journey through a challenging phase when my beliefs shattered and vanished. Events during that period took my mind back to existentialist literature I read in my student's times, akin to works by Albert Camus and Jean-Paul Sartre, seeking the essence of life. Echoing the sentiments of these renowned authors, I learned that the futility and despair of existence defy logic and must be acknowledged. To visually capture these emotions, I revisited classic artistic techniques like gelatin prints, plates, and calotypes, intertwining them in my creative process.
