Multi Exposure Photography in Lisboa

by Miguel Silva

Losing My Religion

We have no theoretical statements about Miguel's work, only images with titles. But we have chosen to leave the interpretation of the individual images up to you.

My interpretation is linked to the title of a photo: chaos. A chaos that goes beyond reality and has penetrated our brains. Isn't this the world around us?

According to modern physics and its wave theory, the light we see is a type of radiant energy that travels through magnetic and oscillating electric fields. These images appear to demonstrate and reveal it to us.

At first glance, they give the impression of Futurism, which celebrated the positivity of technological modernity. However, I do not sense a positive tone in these works. Instead, it seems like want to demonstrate a lack of awareness of our surroundings,

Although these images may initially evoke thoughts of Futurism and the celebration of technology, I believe they reveal our failure to appreciate our immediate surroundings rather than promoting positivity. We no longer know how to focus on what is essential and are overwhelmed by reality.
