In today's society, recognition and appreciation have become significant to many individuals. In our group and on our site, we recognize noteworthy accomplishments such as Photo of the Week, but we do not claim superiority. We proudly display your award-winning photos in our galleries and share them with you. Although we acknowledge our imperfections, we strive to provide you with the best possible experience using our intelligent features, magazines and books. Our ultimate goal is to help you appreciate your own photography as well as that of others, whilst also encouraging thought and contemplation.

**Mateo Candia -** There’s something very endearing about this image. At first glance it’s just a family group shot but the hint of background afforded by the composition gives it greater meaning and the fact that something to the right of shot distracting most of the protagonists lends it a more candid feel. All of this is complimented beautifully by the b/w edit, making it a compelling story.

Sultan Koç – Here’s an image that really captures the sense of hardship of working underground. The composition and lighting add wonderfully to the storytelling.

Martin Agius elevates geometry and minimalism with this silhouette. The helmeted rider adds warmth and storytelling, showcasing another facet of street photography—a beautiful image.

Cameron Scott – A powerful photograph which speaks for itself.

Sultan Koç – It’s not just the colours and composition, this photo is stacked full of emotion. It’s beautiful.

Svetlana Korolyova - “A subway journey can reveal many stories. The key is to know how to capture them, just as our photographer did.

Ludovit Graus- “This has to be Cuba” I thought to myself as I spotted the shapely curves of the retro car. But what a great perspective and unusual shot: geometry with soul.

Sultan Koç - Here’s a photo that needs no detailed analysis: just feel the innocence, that unbridled joy.

Anne Launcelott's facial makeup and ill-fitting clothes make her appear perplexed and hard to read, creating a simple yet profoundly beautiful portrait.

Detlev Riecke - I try a different style this week. The rich black tone suggests nighttime, with lights, moving figures, and composition creating a beautiful image.

Alexander Farnsworth – I love how the light bursts through the crashing wave, adding drama. The clean framing of the guys caught in the moment enhances the storytelling.

Billy Knox – This black-and-white photo is exquisite. Despite the demonstrators' anger, it shows genuine compassion: a plea for mercy.

TK Lai –This beautiful street portrait separates the contemplative protagonist in the foreground from the scene in the background, adding context. It makes you wonder what he’s thinking about.

Ludovic Viévard– This powerful image is a sad indictment of the world today.

Christian Stops -Here’s a feel good shot at a time when the world feels all too gloomy.

Ron Chernysh – This street shot sums up the world right now: the new year has taken up where the old year left off.

Patrice Go - This shot makes me smile. The three girls look slightly awkward dressed as angels, but only slightly. It’s an endearing, real depiction of Christmas buildup.

Tina Manley-This the image immediately struck me as a cover, with triangulation, composition, and focus on three protagonists creating a beautiful, evocative mood. The scene feels timeless.

Niklas Lindskog- I Smile at this shot. In the UK, a lady might say, “You’ll never believe someone got on with a giant yellow duck!” But in Japan, only Niklas and I exchanged glances

Michel Crapoulet appreciates the understated shot, which has tension but no clear connection between the men. Widescreen framing enhances this unglamorous yet compelling story.

Ketan Shah - Four protagonists engage in a game of hands and eyes. We witness a brief story and are free to invent its details.

B.D. Colen- An image that evokes a warm feeling, symbolising joyful childhood memories we all cherish and long to relive, which everyone would need.

Slavko Drobnić- This image embodies our series: poverty isn't just black and white. The subject's expression reflects both resignation and hope, a belief in relying on something or someone.

Trevor Gwin - This shot feels right, with the protagonist blending into the background, creating an atmospheric, pleasing image. Layers often conflict and get messy, but here they harmonise.

Rajib Singha - This vibrant image captures the warmth and movement of culture and society, showcasing two joyful girls in everyday activities alongside deities. It's beautiful.

Goutam Maiti- There’s calming storytelling and the diagonals of the outstretched arm and distant temple. Rarely seen geometry create an embracing effect. The atmosphere and mood are extraordinary.

Barbara Craig. You can interpret this scene as either the protagonist reacting to the photographer or sharing feelings about two policemen on the sidewalk. Either way, it’s a poignant street portrait.

Thanos Kokkinis The scene features recycling bins and power cables, suggesting human presence. A dog walks slowly toward the viewer in a misty, rain-drenched background, creating a compelling image.

Nadia Eeckhout's window art is well-known, but this shot stands out with its mood and storytelling. It feels like a nostalgic look back, due to the dreamy, misty atmosphere she creates.

Sultan Koç - This is a strong mood capture, using great light. I think the little girl in this portrait would be having more fun at the fair.

Trevor Gwin – What may be just an ordinary moment has been transformed by the b/w editing into a powerful image and something extraordinary. This is a great catch, the emotional pull is strong.

Pascal Colin – The geometry and minimalism of this shot makes it feel other-worldly but not cold. The light offers hope in this beautiful composition.

Hans Severin -This is a pet cemetery with lost souls marked by crosses, but it could be more. The dead in the sand feels poignant—a powerful image.

Alex Lim – praises a photo for its striking red colour and skilful photography and editing, highlighting how the characters dressed in red stand out against the red background.

Trevor Gwin –The light and dynamics within this shot create a beautifully warm story.

Janusz Jurek This shot gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘crowd surfing’ and exemplifies - without being patronising - how much nicer the world is when people are caring and inclusive.

Bernhard Wasem –This image depicts summer but is unusual; the low mountains in Switzerland are in the background, and the lake’s water doesn’t tide. It’s calming.

Juancho Domínguez – Here’s a striking image of three siblings, with good light and strong black-and-white. The youngest, seeming a bit left out, is alert to the camera.

Anna Lisi - An image that is striking for its simplicity. The story may be unseen but the viewer is drawn into the frame by the immediacy of the shot.

Metin Yener - The main theme of the demonstration is more evident in those to the left of the girl, despite the focus being on her. A powerful message lies behind this layered image.

Mateo Candia – Vibrant colours and neutral hues draw you into this woman’s world. Sitting on her haunches, working with her potion, you can almost feel her concentration. A beautifully shot scene.

Adriana Dovha -There’s no reveal of the protagonist’s face, but you can almost imagine the person, constructing a story from the context and details. The light is exquisite.

John Gill - A lesson in how to make the ordinary look extraordinary, with balance, composition and powerful storytelling.

Ludovit Graus - This is a powerful image, a classic scene of poverty and deprivation. Unfortunately it’s not part of a series shot decades ago, it’s today’s reality in Cuba.

Ubo Pakes – Hard work is transformed into a beautiful picture, enhanced by the skillful use of light and colour by Ubo Pakes.

Erik Corduwener – It’s a quirky shot. With the jaunty rider dressed in orange popping out from the teal blue background it has a feelgood factor.
