DYSTOPIA

When I'm out on the streets, I can see most people absorbed by their mobile phones, and sometimes, it makes me feel quite uncomfortable.

I can only regret it when people used to walk simply in the streets, looking around or whatever, at a minimum, connected with the environment.

But times have changed.

I thought of this project to illustrate how deeply we are now in a virtual world, even when we are out or with others.

Everyone is on his mobile, checking notifications or scrolling with friends around. It's so strange.

People using numerous applications out on the streets

Making the digital world closer to the real one, day after day

Two realities at the same time

People are split into two parts: the physical person and the one connected.

And it seems like the connected one is taking more and more space.

It was as if the connected one was about to make the physical disappear slowly but surely at the end.

This thought frightens me because we can see it going on. It is right in front of us.

I don't like taking pictures of people when they're holding their phones.

Of course, it is part of our world, but I don't want it in my photos.

This is what "City Whispers" is about

A project about the virtual world we are diving in

Whether we want it or not
